Tmamo Limited started in 2001 as a Human Resources consultancy. Following changes in family circumstances a business selling children’s cloths and trading as Little Sunflowers was formed. It soon became clear that a single retail outlet could not provide the required return but the development of online trading has resulted in strong growth despite difficult economic conditions.

Crêchendo Limited was formed over 20 years ago to provide structured play for pre-school children. Over the years it established a children’s entertainment business and then a childcare training operation. When pHFD first got involved it was clear that the running of this small group of companies was proving difficult. It was agreed that the events company should be sold to its management and several years later it was clear that all the resources of the business needed to go into the training business. pHFD was heavily involved in the sale, the re-structuring of the remaining businesses and the development of the Training strategy. As part of this development Peter Hollingsworth has acted as a mentor to one of the Directors.

Westland Rollers Limited was established in 2002 as the UK trading arm of a large German company producing rollers for the printing industry. pHFD was involved as soon as the decision was taken to set up the business and as a consequence of the main management being in Germany was heavily involved in many things outside pure finance.

Verity Systems consists of three businesses based in UK, USA and France. The business develops and markets innovative equipment principally for the erasure and duplication of data in electronic form. In a fast moving, competitive market it is vital to have reliable, up to date advice and Peter Hollingsworth of pHFD was asked to join the Board of Verity Systems Limited to do just this. Soon after joining the business acquired its subsidiary in France which involved protracted and complex negotiations. The integration of the new business has also been complex and time-consuming.

Tudor Reilly Limited was formed in late 2007 to deliver PR solutions to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries. The business has grown quickly and in the few months pHFD has been involved it has been necessary to build a robust model of the business to enable both the directors and potential investors to get a clear understanding of the opportunities and risks facing the business.

EC Contracts Division Limited is a specialist supplier of clothing to both multiple retailers and specialist retailers such a sports clubs. Focusing on quality whilst keeping up with fashion trends, the business has found an interesting niche in the market. Attending quarterly Board meetings, pHFD has been asked o ensure that the speed at which the business has to operate does not compromise financial control or business risk.

Makis Solutions Limited has developed an innovative rota-planning toll for use in hospitals and other organisations with complex staff time planning requirements. pHFD have been involved since the business was formed and have advised on the selection and use of financial software, the successful application of government backed bank finance and the successful application for EIS status with HMRC.
